So I camped out for a Wii. My girlfriend joined me, it was a pretty good time. Bestbuy didn't open til noon, and we got there around 8 in the morning. I really didnt think there would be many people there, but there was already almost 100 people. It's not that I didn't think anyone wanted one, but it was like -10 and extremely high winds outside (This is fucking Canada afterall). It turns out there is huge hardcore nerds here though. A bunch of people weren't buying a Wii though and were just there to keep someone company, so I ended up being #70 / 86.
I spent a lot more money than I had planned to, at around $650. I had to buy 2 VC controllers, Wiimote, 1 GB SD Card, Zelda, & 2 points cards... Oh yeah and I ended up buying a fucking 3 year warranty which I sort of want to see if I can take back. It sounded like a good idea at the time to someone who hadn't slept in like 24 hours +, but after when I thought about it I remembered that you LOSE your VC games if you get another system, so you are better off just sending it to Nintendo, which sort of just defeats the purpose of any type of warranty. I guess on the positive side you can take back any accessories or anything you buy for the Wii and it will be covered by it too...
There's two gay things though... #1 I bought MARIO BROS' on the VC OBVIOUSLY thinking this was Classic Mario Bros (they don't give a game description), but it turned out to be that extremely fagtastic mini-game thing like Donkey Kong except really gay with Mario and Luigi. I was pissed I basically wasted 500 points on that shit. So I have the idea I'm just going to return one of the cards and say that my console is saying the points have already been used and get a free one lol (30 dollar value). So.. That sort of makes up for it and makes my warranty not seem so bad (i like to rip off big companys a lot .. ) . Gay thing #2 is that I haven't even played it yet because I am waiting for the fucking COMPONENT CABLES that I ordered from Nintendo to get here. I ordered them as soon as it was announced you could on Tuesday and they still aren't here (fucking Nintendo prioritized USA over Canada so bad on these). So I have Zelda sitting here and I haven't even touched it. All I can think about is playing the game, i'm going insane. Right now I'm up because I'm waiting for the postal guy, because they SHOULD be here today.
Me and Leni played Wii sports and its pretty fun. I also got Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz but I'm returning that shit. Why? Because it's pretty infuriating and not as great as I thought it would be, and the multiplayer sort of sucks which is it's main selling point. I already opened it, but I'm just going to make up some lame excuse and demand they give me my money back. There's really no other game worth buying right now though, but whatever. I'm going to take my time with Zelda and try not to use any help for anything in the entire game (not the story, the hearts and side-quest stuff etc), trying to find & figure all that shit out on my own should take a really long time. ]
I saw two movies this weekend, one was the best movie I've seen in a really long time and the second one sucked so bad I can't even begin to explain how much I hate it. The movies were Happy Feet and Casino Royale. Guess which one i hated?
Mini-Review #1: Casino Royale is hands down the best Bond movie EVER. Daniel Craig fucking owned that part and I am so impressed. The story was incredible, and the action was top notch (no CGI this time!). God damn, I want to see it again! It's such a great movie... I love the way they took this series, it's a total breath of fresh air to the franchise. Thank god for Daniel Craig.
Long Mini-Review #2: As for Happy Feet.. OMFG what a piece of shit that movie was. My girlfriend thought it looked cute and I sort of laughed at a few of the things in the trailers (and it was free), so I went. I wish I could take that time back! Ugh, what a horribly stupid shitty movie! I wanted to kill myeslf while I was watching it, it was that bad. It doesn't start off too bad, besides all the uneccesary singing. When you think singing in an animated movie you think that it's once and a while or few and far between like an old Disney movie... But not in this one. Those penguins never shut the fuck up! They are constantly singing about the dumbest shit and trying to get laid (not even kidding). They sing to try to get laid, period. That's the easiest way to put it, and there's lots of sexual stuff the kids won't get that sort of pissed me off.
If I were a parent I definatly wouldn't want my kid watching this movie. It's not just that either, the main reason I say that is that the movie really wasn't THAT BAD up until the last 30 minuites (Robin Williams managed to save the movie for that long), but then the dumbass main penguin decides to go see why the aliens are taking all their fish and swims all the way to the other side of the ocean (what a dumbass...). When he arrives a jeep almost runs over his beached ass and where do they put him? In the zoo of course. I also found it funny how he managed to swim to the other side of the fucking ocean... I know this is a kids movie but come on. Anyway he basically goes INSANE in the zoo and starts smashing his head against the wall for 3 months and starts hillucinating like they were feeding him mushrooms. People come up to the glass and tap it, and eventually he decides it's time to start dancing and the humans are all amazed and decide to slap a gigantic homing device with an oversized antenna on him and send him back to the Antarctic... Somehow, this penguin manages to find his group again and convinces all the penguins they need to DANCE for the humans so they will stop fishing in the antarctic waters... Wow... So a huge ass helicopter flys over them and lands, and the penguins think they are aliens and start dancing... The humans of course take this strange turn of events as any human being would, as a message to STOP FISHING IN THE ATLANTIC WATERS. Then there's a bunch of short scenes showing protesters and what not, and eventually they don't ruin the penguins ecosystems anymore. The end. I'm not even lieing that is exactly what happens and it is even more dumb than it sounds, trust me. Sorry this rant is so long but the movie pissed me off.

My Ipod broke for some reason and I need to send it back to Apple. What a piss off.
My kitten is cute and he likes to suck on my lips all the time.. Sort of weird, but cute.
So I have been taking Muay Thai (Thai boxing for the retards) for like 2-3 months now, but I missed a bunch of classes after the first month because of that stupid job I had (the schedule just wouldn't work with the job), so now my buddy is ahead of me and going into intermediate / advanced classes and I'm fucked. I have no ride there or anything which totally sucks. It's not that far at all, but the winters get insane here and he would always drive me before. I guess I'll just have to work my ass off to get into advanced classes.
Hmm.. Hopefully the post man comes soon or I'm going to be pissed. Ok bye.

I haven't updated in a really long time and I don't have much to say. To sum up my life for the last 4 months I got a full time job, I quit my full-time job because it was gay and taking over my life. I started taking Muay Thai, my favorite cat that i've had since I was 8 died, and I got a new kitten about a week ago. That's about it.
Anyway, the real reason I updated is to say I beat Final Fantasy 12 yesterday (for the couple people who will care). Overall, it was a good game, but I was basically pretty disappointed by it. I waited for it 5 years, and was literally obsessed with it for years. Truth be told, it just didn't live up to the hype. It had a lame story compared to others in the series, and it had almost no character development at all. I mean even the villain, Vayne, had no fucking development. You just basically get the impression he is a guy who deserves a good killing. There are lots of positives to this game, and I'm not saying I hate it really, but it just sort of didn't even feel like a FF to me. And what the fuck is up with the Espers being completely random creature things? I mean there was basically no traditional final fantasy things in this game at all, from spells, to summons/espers ... Anything. There was really nothing reminding me that this was a Final Fantasy. I guess my last beef with the game is how every single character turns out exactly the same build sooner or later no matter what, no character stands out or brings anything unique to the party unlike any other installment. What I mean by this is every character will have the exact same abilities, the exact same magick, the exact same everything besides weapon and armor most likely. To me, that was sort of lame.
Ugh. I don't know, I'm undecided on this one. On the one hand I love it, on the other I don't because it sort of sucks for a Final Fantasy. It's pretty lenghty though, it took me about 70 hours to beat it, without rushing or anything, and I quite a lot of side-stuff to do still. I need to get all the hidden Esper things but it seems pretty pointless because they are completely useless.
Meh. Anyone else playing or beat this yet?
Sopranos season 6 Part I comes out tomorrow. I already watched this obsessivly on HBO but I'm going to buy it tomorrow and have a marathon all day to celebrate.
Oh yeah, seriously go see Borat. It's nice... Great success! Fucking funniest movie I've seen in the theatre ever. I saw it in a sold out crowd with my girlfriend and it was a great time. Check it out, it's fucking hillarious.
Oh yeah, anyone who hasn't seen the episode of South Park about World of Warcraft, you definatly need to check that out. It is by far the funniest episode I've ever seen, and even if you hate South Park I guarantee that you'd love this episode. Especially if you've ever played WoW / FF XI / most any MMO. Blizzard actually let them do the whole episode actually playing inside of WoW and being WoW characters, it's the actual game just with southpark voices dubbed over the characters mouths. Go watch it / download it...It's called - Make Love, Not Warcraft.

Ok. I went out and tried to be different by getting a Creative Labs Zen Vision M. I saw the Ipod "Video" and thought it was pretty cool, but after seeing the Zen Vision M I thought this would be the better player. God damn fuck shit was I wrong. Simply put - The Zen Vision M is a FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT! Now, in all honesty I haven't even got any of the multiple ones I have had to return and retry to work, but this is exactly the reason why I hate it.
First off I installed the first one and it corrupted my computer so that I couldn't even get onto it anymore for some unknown fucked up reason... I was extremely pissed off because now I have lost everything I had on my computer for 3 years, all of my girlfriends files, music, pictures etc, and ALL OF MY FUCKING MUSIC. So after reformating I realized that I am using wireless internet connecting to my upstairs router. This was a total mindfuck to fix and get internet connection and it took me like 5 hours to figure it out, let's just say the "Geek Squad" homo from Best Buy completely fucked up when he installed it to begin with. Afterwards, I installed all of my software that came with the Zen and prayed it would work. WOW, it did install without causing me to reformat... But I'd almost prefer another reformat to the bullshit this thing has put me through now. It refused to charge on my computer... It just flat out said NO and wouldn't so I had to take it back to Best Buy...
(The Frustration Continues)... So I get to Best Buy and get an exchange for a new one along with a Wall Charger the guy grabbed for me. I get home and go to try out my handy wall charger, but alas ANOTHER fucking problem. The Best Buy dude (I will restrain from calling him a fucking moron because he has been nice and helpful in the past) gave me the Zen Micro wall charger instead. Thanks dude! It somehow worked on my upstairs computer so I let it charge there for 5 hours while I installed the new software and applied all the updates and drivers I needed. 5 hours later I go and get it only to find out that now when I go to rip songs to it I get a critical error and the player shuts down... Oh yeah that and how it randomly says that it's not connected to my computer (Trust me it is not my computer).
So basically I am just really fucking upset and want to ram my Zen up someone from Creatives ass right now. What a horrible weekend this turned out to be because of this shitty device. Honestly though, I would be happy with it if it worked... But obviously that is not possible so it is going right back to Best Buy to be exchanged for an Ipod "Video".
All I have to say to say left about this subject is Apple HQ better watch out if I get any problems with their product. I'll go Afghanastani on their ass.

Just not to be overly negative throughout the whole ranting raging update, I'd just like to say that I seen Clerks 2 not once, but two times this weekend and I loved it. It's a classic, I suggest going to see it if you dig any of Smiths movies. It is his best movie by far.

Edmonton is one win away from pulling off one of the most remarkable surprises in playoff history.
If you are any kind of human being you will cheer these guys on tonight in game 7. They are remarkable. Go edmonton!

Hi.
The Edmonton Oilers are going to WIN the Stanley Cup. Why? Because that is how their story is destined to end - and it might possibly be one of the greatest underdog storys ever in hockey. Really, this whole thing has played out like a movie. Let's recap here -
-Edmonton are 8th seed and just barely get into the playoffs.
-Everyone underestimates Edmonton and they eliminate everyone in the playoffs in fine style.
-They are the first 8'th seeded team to EVER reach the finals in the best of 7 format.
-Chris Pronger has made history by scoring the only Stanley Cup Finals penalty shot goal.
-Edmonton unfortunatly lost their goalie in game #1 due to a leg injury and no one thought they could possibly win seeing as how their backups goalies haven't seen action for several months now. However, they have proved everyone wrong yet again with that as well.
-Edmonton was down 3-1 in Finals against Carolina but have shown they will not be beaten by recovering and making the series tied at 3-3. If Edmonton wins they will be only the second team in history to ever win after a 3-1 deficit.
-Most of Edmontons players aren't very well known or concidered to be anything more than average, but their determination and hunger to win has turned them all into stand outs.
If Edmonton wins they will be creating several records. Let's face it, Canada deserves a Stanley Cup... If this isn't a true underdog story I don't know what is. This is a story for anyone and everyone who's ever been told they won't make it or they aren't good enough. Edmonton has proved that with hard work and determination anything is possible. This team deserves the cup so bad it is ridiculous. I'll be cheering for them on Monday and I know all of Canada will be too. You'd really have to live in Canada to see how much having a team in the finals and hockey means to most of us in general. It is all anyone talks about here, it even covers about 90% of the news and even the newscasters nationwide are wearing Edmonton shirts / jerseys etc, it is on the front page of every newspaper when we win. Canada goes nuts for hockey.
Fuck the World Cup. Hockey is the game to watch.

I forgot to mention I got an Xbox 360 and found a way to hook it up through my router which is upstairs (drilled a small hole in the floor)... Sooooo. Now I have Xbox Live ... If anyone who reads this has Xbox live (some of you do I know) leave me your gamertag so I can add you and we can play together and shit. Should be good times..

Saw this picture soon after it was announced and found it funny.
Oh yeah there is a big uproar because the $499 one comes with a a smaller HD (20gb compared to 60gb), no HDMI support (meaning no 1080p), no WiFi, and no memory card readers.
But... I'll be buying one just because Final Fantasy 13 was announced as a PS3 EXCLUSIVE, and there is also another FF 13 (with KH style gameplay) being made as well. I'm sold.
Oh yeah. The new PS3 controller has no rumble feature. :/

Ok, so I'm going to actually update...
I'm thinking about buying an Xbox 360... I admit I would not buy one except it has one thing that is constantly getting me in the state of mind to buy it. That would be Elder Scrolls : Oblivion. I want to play that shit so bad, and buying an Xbox would be better than spending $2000 on a PC upgrade. That is the main game that I want it for, but I'd also pick up Perfect Dark Zero, Call of Duty, & Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter as well most likely. Then of course there is Halo 3 eventually too. Another positive to owning one is a lot of Co-Op games that me and my girlfriend could play together, and they are pretty much all FPS and my girlfriend loves those. Overall it seems like a pretty good system, but I'd obviously rather have a PS3, but that shit is not coming out forever & it will most likely cost a shitload more than an XBOX. The main problem is I have no money and no job right now though, so most likely I wont have any funds till my birthday in about 30 days (20).
The new FFXI expansion looks really cool actually and I always read everyones LJ about all the shit they do, but I'd never play that again. It requires too much time and I'm not hardcore enough for that now. Actually I'd have to say I liked WOW better than FFXI gameplay wise, but it wasn't as fun because I liked the friends I had in FFXI way better and overall FFXI was a way more "personal" game, if that makes any sense. It's just a much tighter community. The one cool thing about WoW was playing with Patrick aka Karanji though, who I hope is still alive (haven't talked to him in a while).
In other news I got the new Tool CD 10,000 Days. It's a good cd but I think it takes some getting used to and it's not something you can just jump right into.. You've got to listen to the whole thing more than once and then you'll really "get it". It's really good though. I especially like Jambi, 10,00 Days (wings pt.2), Vicarious, & Right In Two.
I started watching Bleach because I heard lots of people talk about it before.. And I also bought all of the Hayao Miyazaki films. Hayao Miyazaki has got to have the craziest imagination ever. His movies are so FUCKED but they are so good. I'm waiting for 7 to get here in the mail. Miyazaki is apparently announcing his next movie today.
Um. The Red Hot Chili Peppers are coming here in September and I think I'm going to get tickets for them. They're one of the only rock type bands I actually like. In other concert news I got a floor ticket for The Unholy Alliance (Slayer, Lamb of God, Children of Bodom, Mastodon). I will probably get my ass owned in that pit... Oh well.
Lately I've been having really bad luck with Ebay / Paypal.. I had my paypal account shut down for like 2 weeks because I owed some guy a refund (I'll explain that next). Also my Ebay account is fucked now because I owe $130 in fees that I don't really want to pay, so I'm just using my girlfriends ebay account. Now this guy has sent me a guitar pedal over a month ago by Global Priority (3-5 days) and it still isn't here. The USPS site says that they tried delivering my item on the 21'st at 1pm in April but that is bullshit. I'm pretty sure it's lost in the mail or something but I doubt I'll be able to get a refund.
You know what is retarded? How paypal is bias towards buyers and doesn't give two shits about the seller being ripped off. Let me explain. I sent an item (40 USD value) to a guy in the states and it was classified as Letter Mail (slim enough to fit into a mail box). A month later the guy says he didn't recieve his package & files a claim through Paypals Buyer Protection. I go through the claim and I see he wrote a big long letter explaining how he thinks I ripped him off, etc. Now, what are my options as a seller? Absolutely jack shit. I can either REFUND HIM IN FULL, or PROVIDE TRACKING INFORMATION. No other options. Remember how I said my package was Letter Mail? You can't get a tracking number for letter mail and you have to pay extra for tracking anyway and this guy didn't ask for tracking information. So if it wasn't even possible for me to provide a tracking # for the shipping service this guy requested what can I do? I called paypal and the lady told me there's no way I can win the claim without a tracking number and to just delay the claim by entering in a random tracking number. I did, and then I got my account shut down for 2 weeks and they took the money out of my account.
Ok - So I am not suggesting this really. But hey if you feel like being a dick give it a try. Buy an item off someone on ebay (a game for example, something small) and just get standard shipping. You will hopefully receive your game whenever, but then before 45 days of the transaction time just say you did not recieve the item and file a claim with paypal. No tracking #? Fuck them, you get your money back in full. Pretty fucked up huh? I will never ship an item without getting them to pay for tracking information now. Sellers beware.

Ok so the I've been reading up on the reviews for FF XII lately and they're amazing. Apparently all the delays and other bullshit that went on during the course of 5 years was worth it. This should be one of, if not the best Final Fantasy ever. Can't wait for this one. I remember being all hyped for it even when I was playing FF XI, then I just had to put it out of my mind because it was being delayed all the time. I played the demo with DQ8 and it was like a single player FFXI with fully controllable party members imo. Apparently the cities / towns in this game are fucking huge, as is the game itself. I heard it's a complete monster of a game with an insane ammount of things that are open for you to do. Also, apparently you aquire the airship early in the game. I think that it is kind of like FFXI in that way as well.. How like most of the world is initially open to you but you will get fucking destroyed if you even attempt to fight your way through certain areas. Hopefully they hurry it up and get that shit ready for North America asap.

1. I'm not playing MMO's anymore.
